As usual, February ended two days too soon, and well before I was ready to be catapulted into March. Last month was a busy one, what with the second writers evening in the Proust and Company series, finalizing edits to my spring novel, Death In Key West (the second in the Bradford Fairfax series, due out from Cormorant Books in May) and a trip to Chiapas where I was able to complete some research for my fall novel, The Honey Locust. As well, gay pioneer writer Scott Symons died at month's end. (He once read my second novel and offered advice on where it might get published, though it still hasn't been.) I attended his memorial service out of gratitude for the work he'd done to make it easier for younger gay writers like me, as well as to participate in the writing community at large.

In any case, I prefer to be busy, so if March turns out to be anything like last month, I'll be fine
