June 2008

June sees the reprint of The P-Town Murders from Cormorant Books. Same book, new cover. (If by any chance you missed it, you can pre-order it from: Chapters/Indigo or Amazon.ca) I’m thrilled that Bradford Fairfax and his crew have found a good home after the sale of Haworth last year. And a very prestigious home it is: Cormorant is the publisher of a number of renowned authors! Bradford’s second volume, Death in Key West, is due in the fall of 2009 while a third, Vanished in Vallarta, is slated for 2010. In the meantime, my literary novel The Honey Locust is scheduled for publication with Cormorant next spring.

PS: If you're in Toronto this month, we're having our Annual Summer Solstice Party on Saturday the 21st. Drop by 35 Shudell Ave after 8 pm. We're always happy to meet new friends!

Still, it seems a sad statement on Toronto's sublime artistic indifference. On the other hand, the talent was sparkling and the hosts (Ryan G. Hinds and Kristyn Dunnion) were engaging.

One of the best things about participating in a writers festival is the opportunity to meet new ... [Read More]
