September 2008

Is it just me or did September come from out of nowhere this year?

Summer ended with some fun public readings.  I opened the north stage for Writing Outside the Margins, Xtra’s queer-themed outdoor reading series (which this year featured John Cameron Mitchell—Shortbus, Hedwig and the Angry Inch.)  I also put in an appearance at Turkey Point, Canada’s version of Saugatuk, courtesy of the TP social committee.  Don’t laugh—I sold enough books to pay for the trip and scripted an idea for a new book—Murder at the Point!

The new Cormorant edition of The P-Town Murders seems to be selling well on-line and in stores.  On the other hand, the second edition of A Cage of Bones has been held up due to problems with the cover, but we’re sorting it out as fast as we can!

One of the best things about participating in a writers festival is the opportunity to meet new ... [Read More]
